What does private dog training mean:
Behavioral issues Specific training issues Wanting to train your own service/assistance dog Not interested in group classes Potential dog problem in class setting Want one on one training AKC Good Citizen Evaluations ETC!
I offer three different types of private training: 1. In-Home Hourly Rate: The fee runs $70 an hour (with adjustments for time over one hour, such as $35 for an additional half hour). Coming from Tonganoxie, this fee applies to all locations within a 30-40 minute drive time. Locations further away will be subject to a small additional fee for gas and time. Please contact for this pricing. This type of private training works well for a one time session or special needs. 2. In-Home Private Training Package: The way this works: this is 3 visits, 1 hour session each time. The training is tailored to what you want! The cost is $160 and is paid at first session. This is a great opportunity to work on basic obedience, behavioral issues, ask lots of questions, etc. 3. Phone Consultations: Want to discuss an issue over the phone and work through it? For $30 an hour (minimum), you will receive one-on-one consulting. You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire before scheduling, and you will receive a report after consultation. This is a great option for those wanting a less expensive choice or are not in the local area. For Phone Consultations, you will need to pay via Pay Pal prior to consultation:
Special Training: Service/Assistance Dog I can assist you train your own dog for service/assistance. I can help you with the basics and advanced commands such as picking up dropped objects, opening/closing doors, turning on/off lightswitches, and opening handicap access doors at shopping locations. With the right dog, you can create your own public access or home based service dog.
Training/Behavioral Issues: These sessions are geared towards what you and your dog need. I have you fill out a questionnaire prior to meeting to better understand your needs. We work towards a resolution with whatever your issues are.
Are you wanting to get a CGC on your dog? I offer a Canine Good Citizen class, but if your dog already knows the skills, I can also do private testing for you. I can also do testing at events, shows, etc. for your group. Contact for more details.
